Visa
Global payment network using USDC for settlement between financial institutions.
Using USDC on Visa
Visa, the world's largest payment network, has integrated USDC into its settlement infrastructure. Since 2021, Visa has been using USDC on Ethereum and Solana to settle transactions between financial institutions, reducing the time and cost of cross-border settlements. This doesn't mean you can pay directly with USDC at every Visa terminal, but it means the backbone of Visa's payment system now uses USDC in some corridors. Several Visa card partners (like Crypto.com and others) also issue cards that let you spend USDC through the Visa network, converting it to local currency at the point of sale. Visa's adoption of USDC is one of the strongest institutional endorsements of stablecoins.
