USDC.org ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent educational resource that provides informational content about USDC and stablecoins. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

We collect very little information. USDC.org does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal information to use the Site.

Server Logs: Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically collect standard server log data when you visit the Site. This may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This data is used solely for maintaining the security and performance of the Site and is not used to personally identify you.

We use a single, strictly functional cookie:

usdc-layout — This cookie stores your preferred layout theme ("classic" or "1c") so the Site remembers your visual preference between visits. It expires after 7 days and contains no personal information.

We ask for your consent before enabling analytics cookies. If you accept, PostHog may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your preference at any time via the "Manage Cookies" link in the footer.

We do not use any advertising cookies or retargeting cookies. See Section 6 ("Third-Party Services") for more details.

We use PostHog, a product analytics platform, to collect anonymous usage data about how visitors interact with the Site. PostHog only loads after you grant consent via our cookie banner. This helps us understand which pages are visited, how users navigate the Site, and where we can improve the experience.

PostHog collects information such as: pages viewed, referring URLs, browser type and version, operating system, device type, country-level location (derived from IP address), and session duration. PostHog does not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

To be clear about our data practices, USDC.org does not: collect or store personal information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers; deploy advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or social media trackers; collect payment or financial information; create individual user profiles or track identified users across sessions; or sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for marketing purposes.

The Site integrates with third-party services that you may choose to interact with. These services operate independently and have their own privacy policies. When you use these services, your interactions are governed by their respective privacy policies, not ours.

PostHog: We use PostHog (posthog.com) for anonymous site analytics. PostHog may collect usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and device information. Data is sent to PostHog's US-based servers. Please review PostHog's Privacy Policy at posthog.com/privacy.

Coinbase: When you click "Buy USDC," you may be directed to Coinbase (coinbase.com) to complete a purchase. Coinbase will collect information necessary to process your transaction, which may include identity verification and payment details. CoinGecko API: We use the CoinGecko API to display publicly available USDC market data (such as market cap and supply). This request is made server-side and does not transmit any of your personal information to CoinGecko.

The Site may contain links to external websites or resources that are not operated by us. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of these external sites and are not responsible for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information associated with your use of the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

The Site is operated from the United States. If you are accessing the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that any information collected through server logs may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer and processing.
