Stripe x402
Stripe's x402 integration lets merchants accept per-request USDC payments alongside traditional card processing.
Using USDC on Stripe x402
Stripe added x402 support in February 2026, allowing any of its millions of merchant customers to accept per-request USDC payments through the x402 protocol. This integration sits alongside Stripe's existing card processing, meaning businesses can offer both traditional payments and x402 micropayments from the same dashboard. Stripe handles the USDC settlement and compliance, converting to fiat if the merchant prefers. The integration currently supports Base. For developers, Stripe's x402 works through their existing API with a new payment method type, making adoption straightforward for anyone already using Stripe.
